Choosing a Shape

• Round: the sweet spot sits in the centre of the face, which makes these the most forgiving and the easiest to control. The right starting point for most players.
• Teardrop: a balance of power and control, with the sweet spot slightly higher. Suits improving players who want more punch without giving up too much margin for error.
• Diamond: the sweet spot sits high in the head for maximum power on the smash. Demanding and unforgiving, and best left to advanced attacking players.

Weight and Balance

Most padel rackets sit between 355g and 375g. Lighter frames are quicker to manoeuvre at the net, which is where most padel points are decided. Heavier frames give more power and more stability off the back wall. If you are stuck between two, lighter is the safer mistake.
